Jon Montgomery was born and raised in Rockport, Texas. At an early age, he took an interest in performing, so his mother enrolled him in dance classes at the age of 4. From there, he began his love affair with dance and theatre that lives on 'til this day.
Jon attended Rockport-Fulton High School and under the tutelage of Greta Peterson and Sandra Viar, forged his way into the theatre world. Upon graduating from High School, Jon began acting at Harbor Playhouse in the neighboring city of Corpus Christi, Texas. His theatre education eventually took him to Del Mar College, the University of Northern Colorado, and Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
Jon has cultivated and maintained great relationships with the theatres he has worked with including: Pasadena Little Theatre in Pasadena, Texas; Harbor Playhouse and Aurora Arts Theatre in Corpus Christi, Texas; Port Aransas Community Theatre in Port Aransas, Texas; the Rialto Theatre in Aransas Pass, Texas; Rockport Little Theatre in Rockport, Texas; and Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley, Colorado. In addition to working with local theatres, Jon serves in the role of Special Interests Chair on the K-12 Education Committee for the Texas Educational Theatre Association. Professionally, Jon has worked in the Education Department at The Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas and was the Fine Arts Director and Theatre Instructor for Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jon also works as a Guest Artist for the Del Mar College Drama Department, and is a founding member of Dead Creek Theatre Company, and the co-founder for Artists Crafting Theatre.
